| FESTA AL CEL BARCELONA 2011 |
On Thursday the 29th of September it was time for the grande finale! The final airshow for team 2010-2011. Chunky flew to Ostrava to pick up the Orange lion after a small technical issue was fixed and flew to Barcelona at the end of the day. In the mean time, I flew the spare aircraft to Barcelona so at the end of the day the team was complete to start the final event in the beautiful city of Barcelona!
Once again blessed with gorgeous weather and a great location at the sea front, was able to fly the hi rehersal show on Saturday, surprising a lot of sun-lovers on the beach!
On Sunday it was time for the main event and while the majority of the team was at the sea front welcoming people at our stand, Flip, Sybren and myself went to Barcelona international airport to prepare the flight. Around 3 ‘o clock it was my turn, so started the high show in excellent weather by the very busy sea front. Eventually 500.000 people got to witness my last display.
In the evening the team joined up with the Mitch and his crew from the Belgium F-16 demoteam for an extremely good diner at a sea front restaurant. This was a worthy goodbye diner with the friends we shared so many airshows and fun with over the last two years.
